On Thursday, January 16, law enforcement officials are conducting searches at the former head of the Kyiv Metro. He is suspected of illegally leaving Ukraine.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine with a reference to the police of Kyiv.
According to RBK-Ukraine, the individual in question is Viktor Braginsky, the former head of the Kyiv Metro, who was recently placed on the wanted list. He is suspected of official negligence.
According to the police, the former metro head left Ukraine based on a forged conclusion from the medical commission. The decision by the medical board excluded him from military registration due to an alleged incurable disease.
"Criminal proceedings have been initiated on this matter, within which investigators from the city police are currently conducting a search at the company's offices," the statement said.

At that time, the investigation revealed that the destruction of the tunnel structures had been ongoing for about 14 years. However, this was concealed, leading to the critical condition of the structure and the subsequent accident.
On July 23, 2024, two metro officials were served with suspicions. In November, the former head of the Kyiv Metro, Viktor Braginsky, was also charged with improper performance of official duties.
